Meldola’s Blue is a dark purple crystalline solid that appears deep blue to purple in color. It has a number of other names, such as 8-Dimethylamino-2,3-benzophenoxazine hemi (zinc chloride) salt, Basic Blue 6, Fast Blue 3R, and Naphthol Blue R.
